Floor Grating

Floor Grating is a strong, open-grid surface used to provide support, drainage, and ventilation in industrial, commercial, and architectural flooring applications. It is typically made from metal (such as steel, stainless steel, or aluminum) or fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) and is designed to withstand heavy loads while allowing liquids, debris, or air to pass through.

Floor gratings are commonly used in walkways, platforms, catwalks, stair treads, trenches, and drainage covers, especially in environments where durability, safety, and slip resistance are important.

Floor Grating

Main Components

1

Load-Bearing Strength
  • Designed to support pedestrian or vehicle loads depending on application.

2

Anti-Slip Surface
  • Often serrated or textured to prevent slips, even in wet or oily conditions

3

Corrosion Resistance
  • Stainless steel and FRP gratings resist rust and corrosion, ideal for wet or chemical-prone environments

4

Easy Maintenance & Installation
  • Modular and lightweight designs available for quick assembly and easy cleaning

5

Open Grid Design
  • Allows for efficient drainage of water, oils, or waste
  • Promotes ventilation and reduces buildup of hazardous materials

Types of Floor Grating:

  • Welded Steel Grating – Strong and durable for industrial use
  • Pressed/Locked Bar Grating – Aesthetic and secure for
    architectural use
  • Fiberglass (FRP) Grating – Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and non-conductive
  • Aluminum Grating – Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, used in marine and architectural areas

Applications

  • Industrial platforms and factories
  • Drainage trenches and utility covers
  • Oil & gas facilities
  • Chemical plants and wastewater treatment
  • Commercial buildings and architectural facades
  • Ship decks and offshore platforms

Benefits of Using Floor Grating

  • Improves safety through slip resistance and drainage
  • Reduces maintenance costs in harsh environments
  • Customizable in terms of size, material, and load requirements
  • Long-lasting and durable for heavy-duty applications
